"The Ivy House is haunted by the shadowy figure of a stable lad. A recent sighting has confirmed the apparition to be of a young lad dressed in 17th century costume and over the years there have been numerous sightings. This may well have a connection with the fact that as an old coaching inn, the convicted stopped here on their way to London to be hung!"
